MATV recently won first place in the “Access Center Promo” category for “It’s a Wonderful Life … in Malden,” produced in 2016. The award was part of the Video Festival of the Alliance for Community Media Northeast Region which attracts of hundreds of entries in a variety of categories from the Northeastern states.
Featuring MATV staff and many members of the Malden community, the 14-minute film is a takeoff of the original Frank Capra classic, with MATV, Malden’s Media Center, at the center of it. We plan to have a community holiday screening of the piece, so stay tuned for details. You can also watch the full piece online by clicking here.
Personal storytelling is a captivating way to build bridges between people and cultures. To witness another’s story can be a transformative experience for both the listener and the teller.
