Electronics Recycling Fundraiser!

Gather your aging and broken electronics and small electrical devices! MATV, Malden’s Media Center, is holding an electronics recycling event as a fundraiser for the organization on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 10am – 6pm, and on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 10am – 2pm. Drop your off items to be 100% recycled by Northeast Materials Handling and make a monetary donation (in any amount) to MATV. Many items can be dropped off free of charge. Other items require a fee (exactly the amount MATV has to pay the recycling facility).Your donation should be added the amount of any fees charged.

Arts & Culture Summit

On March 9, 2019, over 100 people met at River’s Edge Medford to imagine the next steps for Malden’s arts and culture community. Led and hosted by MATV, Malden’ Media Center, the program included a welcome, art talk, keynote speech about Watertown’s Mosesian Center for the Arts, performances, and a break out discussion using a tool known as the “Innovator’s Compass.”

This summit sparked a list of needs and next steps for Arts & Culture to take hold in Malden. Learn more and stay updated about what’s next.

MATV Wins Award

MATV recently won first place in the “Access Center Promo” category for “It’s a Wonderful Life … in Malden,” produced in 2016. The award was part of the Video Festival of the Alliance for Community Media Northeast Region which attracts of hundreds of entries in a variety of categories from the Northeastern states.

Featuring MATV staff and many members of the Malden community, the 14-minute film is a takeoff of the original Frank Capra classic, with MATV, Malden’s Media Center, at the center of it.
