MATV Wins Award

MATV staffers pose after shooting one of the scenes from “It’s a Wonderful Life … in Malden.”

MATV recently won first place in the “Access Center Promo” category for “It’s a Wonderful Life … in Malden,” produced in 2016. The award was part of the Video Festival of the Alliance for Community Media Northeast Region which attracts of hundreds of entries in a variety of categories from the Northeastern states.

Featuring MATV staff and many members of the Malden community, the 14-minute film is a takeoff of the original Frank Capra classic, with MATV, Malden’s Media Center, at the center of it. We plan to have a community holiday screening of the piece, so stay tuned for details. You can also watch the full piece online by clicking here.

Senior Television Workshop

Join us for fun and learn how to make TV! Come and be creative, and have a blast learning Basic Camera, Directing, Producing, and Recording.

 

Each participant will have a chance for hands-on involvement. You will have support from the instructors while you learn.
