On October 7, 2020 at 7pm, 67 people attended MATV/UMA’s first virtual annual meeting. Aside from announcing the winning candidate for the open Membership Board seat, Karen Lynch, we reflected with video and photos on the past year and hinted about future developments.
The latest Culture Matters in Malden episode. Its a time we are all grappling with. And for educators, parents, and students there are challenges. But with challenges come opportunities. What can happen when we invite students into the conversation about solving problems or making things better. After this conversation, Eli and Hudson met with the Mayor Gary Christenson of Malden to ask things like where the city gets energy? How is the crime rate? How is city dealing with systemic racism? They also shared their thoughts about school and what could make it better as well as ideas for what might help the community be more connected.
